LEGAL AGREEMENT

Terms, licence,
privacy and refunds.

These terms apply to the SceneLoft demo and Founder Edition. Last updated 6 September 2026.

Pre-release notice. SceneLoft is beta software under active development. Features, file formats, performance and compatibility may change. Keep independent backups and verify every export before relying on it.
01

Agreement and operator

By purchasing, downloading or using SceneLoft, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. “SceneLoft,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operator identified below.

Operator: Angel Landoni
Tax identifier: 269498º7G
Business address: Barcelona 63
Contact: support@sceneloft.app

These terms form the entire agreement concerning the licensed software, together with the product description shown at checkout. Mandatory rights that apply in your country remain unaffected.

02

Founder licence

Founder Edition is licensed, not sold. A Mac App Store purchase is subject to Apple's applicable usage rules and Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with the product-specific terms on this page where they do not conflict. It includes Founder capabilities and updates that we actually release within the SceneLoft 1.x line. It does not include future major versions, hosted services, bespoke development, training or a guaranteed version 1.0 date.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute or provide the software as a service to others; evade technical limits; or remove proprietary notices. You may not reverse engineer or decompile SceneLoft except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits and does not allow that right to be restricted. Rights not expressly granted are reserved.

03

Demo, beta features and product scope

The demo is for evaluation and learning. Its advertised resolution, watermark and export restrictions apply. The current product page and checkout description define the purchased capabilities. Screenshots, examples, roadmap discussions and comparisons illustrate intended workflows but do not promise an exact future feature, output or delivery date.

Beta, experimental and hardware-dependent features—including the 3D workspace and ray-traced output—may be incomplete, inaccurate, slower than expected, changed or withdrawn where reasonably necessary. SceneLoft is not designed for emergency, safety-critical, medical, aviation, nuclear or other use where failure could cause injury or severe damage.

04

Updates, support and reported defects

We review defect reports and support requests individually. Investigation, prioritisation and any corrective work are decided case by case, taking account of severity, reproducibility, security impact, affected systems, available resources and technical feasibility. We do not promise that every reported issue or requested improvement will be accepted, reproduced or fixed, or that any fix will be delivered by a particular date.

Where mandatory law provides a remedy for non-conforming digital content, this case-by-case policy does not remove that right. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, the remedy may be a workaround, update, replacement, price reduction, refund or another legally required measure. Necessary security or conformity updates will be supplied where and for as long as applicable law requires.

“Updates through 1.x” means access to eligible 1.x updates if and when released. It is not a service-level agreement, maintenance schedule, promise of continuous development or guarantee that every existing feature will remain unchanged.

05

Projects, migrations and version compatibility

Project files created or saved by a newer SceneLoft version may contain schemas, effects or data that an older version does not understand. Older versions may therefore refuse to open them or may open, display, edit or export them incorrectly. We do not guarantee that projects from a newer version can be opened in any earlier version.

An update may migrate or rewrite project data. Before upgrading or saving with a new version, keep a separate copy of the original project and all linked assets. Test important projects before adopting an update. Unless expressly documented, there is no downgrade path. Compatibility formats such as SVG, Lottie, image and video exports can be lossy and are not guaranteed to preserve every editable feature or produce pixel-identical results in third-party software.

06

Technical requirements and third parties

You are responsible for checking supported operating systems, hardware, storage, permissions, codecs, fonts and drivers before purchase and for maintaining a secure, compatible environment. Results can vary with hardware, operating-system updates, colour management, fonts, codecs and third-party tools.

SceneLoft may include or interoperate with open-source components and third-party services. Those components remain subject to their applicable licences and open-source notices. Payment, hosting, email, database and optional codec providers control their own services; their outages, policy changes or discontinued features are outside our control.

07

Payment, taxes and delivery

Founder Edition is offered as a one-time Mac App Store purchase. Apple displays the final local price, processes payment, calculates applicable transaction taxes, provides the receipt, controls download eligibility and delivers updates. You must keep your Apple Account and billing information accurate.

Founder Edition is delivered and restored through the customer's Apple Account. A payment reversal, refund, fraud finding or material licence breach may end the corresponding right to use the paid edition to the extent permitted by law.

08

Refunds and withdrawal

Apple processes Mac App Store refund requests under its storefront policies and applicable law. Request an App Store refund directly from Apple using the purchase shown in your Apple Account. SceneLoft cannot issue, promise or accelerate a refund for a transaction collected by Apple.

For any earlier direct purchase, contact support@sceneloft.app from the purchase email with the receipt reference. Direct refund requests are assessed under the terms presented at that purchase and mandatory law. Nothing here limits non-waivable withdrawal, conformity, repair, replacement, price-reduction, termination or reimbursement rights.

09

Your projects and acceptable use

You retain rights in original work you create. We do not acquire ownership of a local project merely because it was made with SceneLoft. You are solely responsible for project content, backups, delivery checks and permission to use fonts, music, footage, models, trademarks and other assets.

You must not use SceneLoft to infringe rights, distribute malware, violate law or create content whose possession or distribution is unlawful. To the extent permitted by law, business users will defend and indemnify the operator against third-party claims caused by their unlawful content, infringement or material breach of these terms.

10

Intellectual property

SceneLoft, its source and object code, interface, graphics, documentation, trademarks and non-open-source assets are owned by or licensed to the operator. Buying Founder Edition grants the limited licence in these terms, not ownership of the software or its intellectual property.

SceneLoft is independent and is not affiliated with Adobe, JangaFX, Spline, Jitter or their products. Third-party names are used only for truthful reference, comparison or compatibility and remain the property of their respective owners.

11

Warranty and conformity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SceneLoft is supplied “as available” and without contractual promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every system, suitable for every purpose, or capable of recovering damaged or unsupported files. You are responsible for testing it against your intended workflow before production use.

This disclaimer does not exclude statutory guarantees or liability for lack of conformity that cannot be waived. Consumers may have mandatory rights when digital content does not match its contract description or legal conformity requirements. No statement in these terms converts discretionary roadmap work or feature requests into a guaranteed obligation.

12

Limitation of liability

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer remedies. Subject to that rule, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses; lost profit, opportunity or goodwill; or avoidable data loss resulting from a failure to maintain backups or verify output.

For users acting in a trade, business or profession, our aggregate liability arising from SceneLoft or these terms is limited, to the maximum extent permitted by law, to the amount that user paid for the licence giving rise to the claim. Consumer liability is limited only to the extent permitted by the mandatory law applicable to that consumer.

13

Suspension and termination

You may stop using SceneLoft at any time. We may suspend or terminate a licence for verified fraud, payment reversal, circumvention or another material breach. Where the breach can reasonably be cured, we may first provide an opportunity to cure it. Termination ends the software licence but does not transfer ownership of your project files to us.

Provisions concerning payments, intellectual property, privacy, disclaimers, liability and disputes survive termination where their nature requires it.

14

Privacy notice

The operator named in section 1 is the data controller for information sent directly to SceneLoft. Apple independently handles App Store accounts, billing credentials, transaction processing, receipts and refund requests under Apple's privacy terms. SceneLoft does not receive your full payment-card credentials and normally does not receive an App Store customer's personal email address merely because they purchased the app.

We process support correspondence, voluntarily supplied receipt information and website security logs to provide support, protect the service, comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims. If we later introduce optional marketing, it will require its own lawful basis and unsubscribe mechanism. We do not use this data for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

Apple and Vercel may act as independent recipients or processors where necessary for App Store distribution and website hosting. Some processing may occur outside the European Economic Area under the provider's applicable transfer safeguards.

Support records are kept only for support, fraud defence and legally required periods. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where applicable by contacting support@sceneloft.app. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency or your local supervisory authority. Statutory records may be retained despite a deletion request.

15

Changes to SceneLoft and these terms

We may change the software for security, legal, technical, performance or product-development reasons. Features may be added, modified or removed. Where mandatory law requires notice, continued access to an earlier conforming version, or a right to terminate because of a material adverse modification, we will provide that remedy.

The terms presented and accepted at purchase govern that transaction. Updated terms apply prospectively from their stated date and will not retroactively remove accrued mandatory rights. Material changes affecting an existing paid licence will be communicated where legally required.

16

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections available under the law of the consumer’s habitual residence. Consumers may bring proceedings in any court available under mandatory jurisdiction rules, including the courts of their domicile where applicable.

For users acting exclusively in a trade, business or profession, the courts of Barcelona, Spain have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, please contact support@sceneloft.app so the parties can attempt a good-faith resolution.

17

General terms and contact

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer the licence or agreement without consent; we may transfer the agreement as part of a lawful business reorganisation or sale without reducing mandatory consumer rights.

Notices, privacy requests and product support may be sent to support@sceneloft.app. App Store refund requests must be submitted to Apple. Never send full card details.

This document is a practical contractual draft, not a substitute for advice from a qualified Spanish lawyer and tax professional. The operator identity, address, tax identifier and support email must be completed before release.
